Mental and Behavioral Health Benefits
Tending to your mental and emotional well-being is every bit as important as taking care of your body. Your Devoted Health plan covers a wide range of care and services when it comes to your mental health.
You meet 1-on-1 with a licensed therapist to talk about how you're feeling. Together, you come up with strategies to work with your emotions and other challenges you're facing.
You can also have therapy sessions with your family to work out relationship issues. Or go to to therapy in a group setting, where a therapist and a small group of people facing similar challenges all work together.
You don't need a referral for therapy.
Just like you might need medications to treat high blood pressure or an infection, medications are also used for mental health conditions. Your doctor or mental health provider may prescribe a drug to help manage your symptoms.
Medications that treat mental health conditions are covered just like any other medication in our list of covered drugs. When you see your provider to make sure the drug is working or to make changes, those visits are covered just like any other visit.
Substance Abuse Services
Treatment and recovery from substance abuse and addiction can look different for everyone. Our plans cover:
- Individual and group counseling
- Medications to treat substance abuse
- Visits with your provider to manage medications
- Outpatient and inpatient hospital services for substance abuse
Partial Hospitalization Program
If you're having a more severe issue, you may need partial hospitalization. This is where you receive structured, focused mental health services in a hospital during the day and then go home at night.
Sometimes you need around-the-clock hospital care to help manage your mental health. If you ever need it, you're covered for that too.
